Chicago Fire FC manager Gregg Berhalter has debunked claims the club is on the verge of finalizing a deal for Norwegian International Patrick Berg.

With 15 goals in 82 appearances for Bodo/Glimt, Patrick Berg has established himself as one of the standout talents in Norway’s Eliteserien.

The 27-year old’s stellar performances have reportedly drawn interest from multiple MLS side, fueling speculation about a possible move to Chicago.

However, Chicago Fire Manager, Berhalter downplayed the swirling rumors during a media briefing, emphasizing that his primary focus remains on the players already in the locker room.

“I want to concentrate on the group we have here,” Berhalter said. “I’ve never been a fan of discussing players who aren’t part of our squad or haven’t joined the team. It’s not fair to them or to my players.

Chicago Fire fans will be watching closely to see if the front office makes any strategic moves in the coming weeks.
