Former Chicago Fire player Brian Gutiérrez says returning to Soldier Field evoked a flood of memories from his time with the Mexico national team.
Gutiérrez played a pivotal role as Mexico drew 1-1 with Belgium in an international friendly at the iconic stadium. Despite his acrimonious exit from the MLS to Chivas, returning to Soldier Field remained a special moment for him.

“Great feelings here in the stadium,” Gutiérrez told reporters. “It’s a place where I have fond memories, and my family was always here supporting me.”
The 22-year-old, born in Berwyn, Illinois, made 152 appearances for Chicago Fire, scoring 20 goals over five seasons
