Chicago Fire striker Hugo Cuypers has set his sights firmly on winning the coveted Golden Boot after an explosive start to the 2026 Major League Soccer season, signaling his intent to establish himself among the league’s elite forwards.
The Belgian forward has hit the ground running, registering four goals and one assist in his first four appearances of the season. His early form has fueled both personal ambition and team optimism.

“My goal this season is to help the team,” Cuypers said. “We’ve started on a very positive note, and I believe we have a strong squad capable of making a deep run. I want to keep scoring and winning—that’s why I’m here.”
